ive tried this on 2 pc and still have this issue also linux stops installing at about a quater on the bar and it says error starting linux

Are there any files in the directory /usr/local/bin?

If zip does not exist in the directory, the files of stateful partition may have been broken or messed up. You can try to recover it by running

$ sudo -i
$ FYDEOS_STATEFUL_UPDATE_URL="https://fydeos-stateful-update.s3.cn-north-1.amazonaws.com.cn/11/stateful-amd64-fydeos-13421.23.11.2.tgz" stateful_update_fydeos

wait for the command to complete, then reboot, try opengapps again.

i dont know how to check that directory and the command wont work it sits on > and if i put the command again there and reboot it still doesnt work.

Follow the page https://faq.fydeos.com//en/getting-started/shell-access/ enter shell, and run

$ sudo -i
$ ls -l /usr/local/bin/zip
$ ls -l /usr/local/bin/ | wc -l
$ FYDEOS_STATEFUL_UPDATE_URL="https://fydeos-stateful-update.s3.cn-north-1.amazonaws.com.cn/11/stateful-amd64-fydeos-13421.23.11.2.tgz" stateful_update_fydeos

I’m having the same issue and I followed these instructions. I didn’t have a /bin or /bin/zip folders.

after running the FYDEOS_STATEFUL_UPDATE_URL command, I get:

   Downloading stateful payload from https://fydeos-stateful-update.s3.cn-north-1.amazonaws.com.cn/11/stateful-amd64-fydeos-13421.23.11.2.tgz

   gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
   tar: Child returned status 1
   tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
   Downloading command returns code 2.
   Downloading failed, retrying.

   gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
   tar: Child returned status 1
   tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
   Downloading command returns code 2.

any ideas what else I can do to install gapps?

The link is invalid now, it has been moved to https://fydeos-stateful-update-n.s3.cn-north-1.amazonaws.com.cn/11/stateful-amd64-fydeos-13421.23.11.2.tgz. But be aware that this is an old post, the file in this linke may not match the version of the OS you are using.

If you’re using FydeOS v12，the link of stateful.tgz file for amd64-fydeos is https://fydeos-stateful-update-n.s3.cn-north-1.amazonaws.com.cn/12/stateful-amd64-fydeos-13729.8.12.5.tgz
